Are Cloud Crust LLC continuing education courses approved by the State of Tennessee?
Yes. All continuing education courses offered by Cloud Crust LLC are designed to meet the requirements established by the Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors. Course approval documentation is maintained in accordance with state guidelines and is available upon request or through the Board's resources.
Who is required to complete continuing education (CE) in Tennessee?
In Tennessee, residential contractor continuing education (RCE) requirements apply to licenses issued after January 1, 2009. For licenses in the classifications of BC-A, BC-A/r, and BC-A,b(sm), at least one qualifying agent per licensee must complete continuing education in order to maintain the license.
What are the continuing education requirements in Tennessee?
For residential contractor licenses issued after January 1, 2009:

Eight (8) hours of Residential Continuing Education (RCE) are required every two (2) years (bi-annually).
This requirement applies beginning with license expirations on January 31, 2022, and thereafter.
The required hours must be completed by the end of the month in which the license expires, prior to renewal.
Does Cloud Crust LLC report course completions to the Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors?
You will submit the Certificate of Completion that you are able to download and print at the end of each course you complete. Licensees are responsible for maintaining proof of course completion and providing documentation to the Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors if requested.
How do I submit my continuing education documentation in Tennessee?
After completing your course, you will be able to download and print your Certificate of Completion. You are responsible for submitting this documentation at the time of license renewal.

At renewal, you will need to submit the following to the Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors:

• Financial Statement
• Certificate of Insurance
• RCE Course Certificate(s) of Completion

All documents should be uploaded under the "Other – Disclosures and Additional Information" section of your renewal application.

Important:
RCE Certificates of Completion should not be submitted separately from your renewal application. All required documentation must be submitted together at the time of renewal.
What delivery methods are used for Tennessee continuing education courses?
Cloud Crust LLC offers online-only continuing education courses for Tennessee contractor license renewal. Classroom or in-person instruction is not currently available.
Will I receive documentation upon completion of a course?
Yes. Upon successful completion of an approved continuing education course, a certificate of completion will be issued. Certificates are available for immediate download upon course completion.
Does completion of a continuing education course renew my Tennessee contractor license?
No. Completion of continuing education requirements does not constitute license renewal. License renewal applications and applicable fees must be submitted directly to the Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors in accordance with their procedures.
How long will I have access to my online course?
Access to purchased online courses will remain available for one (1) year from the date of first login. Courses must be completed within this period to receive continuing education credit.
Are courses compatible with mobile devices?
Yes. All Cloud Crust LLC courses are designed to be compatible with mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets, as well as desktop and laptop computers.
Who is responsible for maintaining continuing education records?
Licensees are responsible for maintaining their certificates of completion and should retain records for at least four (4) years, or as otherwise required by the Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors.
